The UNRBA partners with local stakeholders, other organizations, and state agencies to study and implement solutions for watersheds (drainage areas) in the Upper Neuse River Basin. We focus on watersheds with high-quality resources, watersheds where land uses are changing, and watersheds where water quality is degraded.
Watershed Restoration
The UNRBA is developing and/or implementing watershed restoration plans in several watersheds in conjunction with the NC Ecosystem Enhancement Program:
- Ellerbe Creek
- Ledge Creek
- Lick Creek
- Little Lick Creek
- Swift Creek (below Falls Lake)
Critical Lands Protection Plans
